Rubeus: our first “boy”

Sad news to report in the Bonchu family. Jamie took our kitty Rubeus to the vet today because he was crying painfully, then urinated on the floor without even getting up. The vet said he has a mass in his belly and must have ate something that poisoned him. He is not expected to make it though the night, so we brought him home to say goodbye. We are all very sad this weekend and will miss our big boy very much.

I have had affectionate cats before, but never one this cuddly. Whenever I sit and watch TV, as long as @ was wearing pants, Rube would come sit on my lap and just pur and pur. He was a really good boy like that.

I’m glad Jamie’s friend found his mother and took her in, and I’m glad we could give him a home. I just wish we had more than 4 years with him.
